Club Med for Cows!

Koropuku Falls - a hidden dream! |
FAMILY and FARM
- Longest day has passed! We went to the cliffs last two
nights to see the sun over the sea at its southern zenith,
last night was shining, silvery, a wav-ey staircase to the
setting sun! Great company with special friends from Waikato.
- Thomas and Dee are on holiday in West Australia
and we hope thay have a great drive in the flying
Falcon Futura, maybe the last family drive in it...
if they can sell it.
- We have 8 silage pits ready and over 700 bales
in reserve. Next cut will be in February.
- Most enjoyable Christmas post of cards and
letters - I am still puzzled by the ones who just
say Happy Christmas from xxx and have no news. We'd
love to hear more!
LOCAL and DISTRICT
- It's been a growthy season even if frustrating at times,
weather wise. Animals look great and lambs are fetching
nzd85+ which is a big improvement. We don't understand why
there is simply no demand for wool, such a unique fibre.
- Generally we expect less people touristing the coast due
to the economic fears altho' we won't be affected like
Queenstown.. we don't have that mass market..
- The local panto was even bigger and better than
ever.. the talent is amazing.
